Ideally we would suggest changing your tyres at 2mm. Check the condition or you tyre walls. Any rips or damage to these areas can weaken your tyre and increase the chance of puncture. You can buy a tool for this at your local motoring store. Consult your manufacturers handbook for the recommended pressures. The wrong tyre pressure can affect the handling of your vehicle and increase wear. Allow your tyres to cool before checking the pressure. If your tyres are unevenly worn across the tread but the pressure is correct then it could mean that your wheels need aligning correctly. When having new car tyres fitted your tyre fitter should align and balance your wheels for you.
